The Preparation Programme for First Holy Communion Candidates is run every year at St Thomas a Becket Church.  This usually commences at the end of October and runs through until May when the First Holy Communion Mass takes place. 

It is a Parish-based programme, run by Fr Gerry and Catechists from St Thomas's.  The format is quite flexiable depending on the size of the group however classes are usually held in the Church Hall on a Monday afternoon between 3.30pm  -  5pm.

Although each child is prepared for First Holy Communion through the efforts of the Catechists, the Parish Priest and the prayers of the Parish community as a whole, it is also vitally important that the parents play an active part in the teachings of the Catholic Church and assist children with any necessary homework.
